The plenumn width is not a restriction, the elbow between the throttle n plenumn IS.

Nice to see people can still make money of people by telling people some crap that does owt gets you 30bhp tho

I can see it being a restriction, the trumpets are VERY close to the plenumn wall, but without the elbow restriction being removed it wont do owt.

Cant get more air in if theres restrictions before the plenumn

Assuming you stick one on a 2wd plenum and you already run 430bhp. It would probably be a waste of time. If you did it with an RS500 plenum then it may make a difference as the restricive elbow from the 2wd is not there.

IMO it COULD work if you removed the restriction in the elbow first....

Rod Tarry uses one on his 200mph Saph

Don't expect any gains without it being mapped for the modification though! If it really did give 30bhp gain's worth of airflow then I would be worried about the air fuel mixture leaning out.

I suspect it is more of a case that it can make a minor difference on really big power cars after other restrictions have been sorted out first. Definitely not worth Ł100 in my book! Probably Ł10 worth of metal and machining etc in it and Ł90 profit

I thought sticking spacers would only weaken the engine and cause reliabilaty issues... but I could be wong usually am

We have ported and modified the elbow on my Dad's Sapph. It's now as wide as the plenum itself although he isn't bothering with a spacer....
