Agreed with both those lines.

Love love love the place. But the noise thing is a pain.

As and when funds allow, I'm going to get a more track day specific exhaust made for the car. Even if it lands up as 1 giant silencer box towed on a trailer behind the car. My Evo would love the long straight!

Plus room to slide around like the guy in the grey car, safe ish in the knowledge of plenty of run off in most places.

Think a 172 may be on the cards too, for Bedford races with Porkie, Chip, Helen, Spiky and Dave etc

Its all about commitment.

First step to being propely quick is that you need to consider your car totally disposable, like Porkie did

Helen, buy this:

http://clio16valver.co.uk/board/view...p?f=11&t=35863

Then track the fucking arse out of it till you crash it, and get nearly all your money back selling it for spares!

you'll never be able to get properly quick in a car you know you need for work the next day!

track cars you dont give a shit about FTMFW!

Oh, its an 1100 quid pretty well sorted clio, belongs to "midge" off here, who is the geezer I bought my williams engine off.

Would be the perfect car to just utterly throw around like I do mine.

you need to do that in a car you dont care about first to pick up the skills and confidence to do it in a car you do care about.

you will NEVER get properly fast in that car of yours IMHO, its all about using a shitter to learn in!

Im not suggesting you sell yours!

yours is AWESOME!

Just buy that for 1100 quid, do a few trackdays in it, treat it like you fucking hate it, ride the kerbs, slide it, thrash it, then either sell it complete, or sell it for spares if you crash or break it.
you still have the jeep and trailer at the moment, so you dont even need to insure it (although i could insure it free for you and you could drive it on your 3rd party extension if you needed to)

Effectively you would be renting it for a month or two for a few hundred quid.

Then with the experience you now have, go back to your car and drive it a lot more like Lee was doing, obviously you arent going to be as good as him overnight, but you will learn in 2 trackdays in a car you dont care about what you wont learn in 2 years in yours.

Yes, I told you it came around very quick! Must have been Shonk!

Starting to get them up now on the Grass Cutters Channel.

One of Lee in the MG hunting down the Prep N Play car. We back off in the end as it looked like one of the rear wheels was about to fall off!!
