hi,can anyone tell me if recaro seats from an s1 will fit into a 1997 P reg escort van?????
Also whats the going price for two front recaro seats? i found some for sale at £75 but i thought they were a bit pricey given the condition they were in,
small hole passenger seat
bolsters sagging and worn but stitching not come away they looked quite clean tho
any ideas of a price i should offer?????

u can make them fit if they dont. and £75 is a pretty good price. recaros go for silly money.

Just get some Mk6 RS2000 ones and they bolt straight in, that's what I've done on my van. The base frames on an RS Turbo seat won't fit straight into your van.

They will 100% not fit as they are. You will need to get or make modified runners, and you'll also have the problem that you won't have the airbag pretensioners in the S1 seats, so you MAY find the airbag light flashes on the dash. To be honest it would be a lot less arsing about just to buy the MK6 RS2000 seats, they're nicer as well. But it's up to you at the end of the day. I'll see if I can find a pic of mine installed.

Although there is an issue with the doorcards too. The RS2000 ones are too long, you need them from a five door if anything, but they're not easy to find. I've just left mine because the van ones are plain black and look fine anyway as you can see.

Oh well, depends what you like I guess, I like them and it's a lot less buggering about fitting these than S1 seats, and most S1 seats are well past their best now.
