As above i've just got 1 for some drift fun but am thinking maybe use it as a track car too.

Take along the new keepers slip you got from the V5 when you bought it, you can tax it with that
Never took our E36 on track so have nothing else to add here

i used to have a 320 convertible it was quite possibly the worst car i had ever owned, drove horribly but then that could be down to it being lower than my grans nipples and have 19 inch wheels on it, plus the convertible is a bit heavier i think.
was good fun on roundabouts though so i would imagine a 325 on a track would be a good laugh providing your used to rwd,
also had this 330 i se but i hated this think just seemed like such a big effort to actually drive it.

Jim's E36 M3 used to be fantastic on track, 8:38 round the ring too.
325 are a bit underpowered obviously, but can be made to handle very well without spending too much money, the standard setup is good anyway, so just needs shocks and springs and its pretty reasonable, although its worth also replacing all the old worn out bushes while you are at it.

What's wrong with the original Boge dampers coupled with Eibach Springs? Apart from the fact that on a car that could well be 18 years old now they may be shot.
If the OP is who I think he is, then he hasn't long sold a pretty nice mag-featured red 3 door. Although I may be getting mixed up with someone else.

When a shock is expected to operate over a shorter distance, it needs to be stiffer in order to provide the same level of damping.
To get the most out of a car on track, you need shocks and springs that are designed to work together.

thanks Chip.. I'm off to find a 325 inlet then!
seems odd that they did that bearing in mind they uprated the diff, drive shafts and a load of the other transmission related bits at the back. (only found this out when mine got smashed to pieces and i was trying to get spares!)

Bear in mind the 325 inlet is not a straight swap onto a 328i. was going to do this on a 328i sport i had but wasnt as straight forward as just swapping it over so didnt bother in the end
Also if you do change the inlet you can get even more power with US spec m3 cams and a remap.

Yep and should of kept the 3dr. Mot'd it today just have to wait for log book as don't even have new keeper bit so can't tax it.
Going to strip it to death and mig spec it, seats and harness's and see how it goes.
