I'm being givin a Maverick 2.7TDI on an R plate,

It's obviously not goin to be the quickest thing in the world, but is there anything i could do to give it a bit more poke? It's greatly under geared to begin with, as in it could easily do with a 6th gear.

Would it be able to be remapped, and what sort of increases could i potentialy be looking at?

Is this engine in any other cars, other than the Nissan Terranno II on which it's based?

Any thoughts ideas are appreciated as there's little around about tuning them,

Could the boost be turned up on the turbo or something like that ? And with the way Diesel Skodas can be remapped i figured something must be able to be done.

Be careful tuning one as the gearboxes are fairly fragile in the Terrano's
you may find suspension lowering and stiffer ARB's find you much more performance than upping the power.... that said i find the g/f's one fairly good to drive

these have comventional injection not common rail like modern diesels, they are slow for a reason, cause they are not meant to be fast simple as that BUT the lti tx2 uses the same engine and half the pakkis in bristol own the tx2's taxis and i know of a few modded ones, one i have seen even has 6 fucking 4 inch exhaust tail pipes on a bloody taxi

how slow is slow? maf sensors play up alot!
