Car rental abroad
Well it's happening, Im getting married in October, and she has given me the nod to rent WHATEVER car I like for the honeymoon in Tenerife, I could go the supercar route, but in all honesty I want to rent an RS Focus, any ideas as to who would stock one as a rental?

I would be inclined to have a ring around, as I doubt anywhere there will have one as a rental.
There are some UK companies out there I think. Or are you renting from the UK and driving down?

Ive been to the canary islands a few times and never seen anything interesting for hire (well not cars anyway )
Have just had a look at loads of car rental sites for there and didnt see anything either.
astra convertable or a mini cooper seems to be about the most exciting sort of car most places do
I think you will really struggle to find a focus RS

Whatever you do hire, watch the spair wheel as its a scam used all over the islands were the spare will simply vanish over night and you will have to foot the bill to replace it. Jeeps and cars with a craddle under the back are the ones to watch out for obviously

So many scams on Spain's roads, fake guardia all sorts quite scary for the tourist who aint clued up. I got done once and was robbed of a lot of money in Madrid. Even the guardia will fine you for anything. I got done for no insurance even though i did have it and had papers on me and having my bulldog on the front seat. Always happens at the end of the month when they need to hit there revenue targets as they are very under funded at the moment.
Locals always drive routes they know there not hanging about on, i do some right mad msisions to get places.
