1.9 xr2 on 40's

no my gearbox has gone south

well everythign but 3rd and 4th, makes for interesting driving thru traffic that the clutch wasnt impressed with

anybody know if its a usual issue?

also work recon its still under warrenty but its a 57 plate, thought thay stitched you for a year no 3 on fords?


seemed more linkage that box as it was fine then next drive it was all shite but i did have an rst do that once where i would have to whack the shifter 1 way or another to use each side of the box

there is a problem with the selector forks, mine has fooked up twice, you cant move across the gate just up and down ( 1st 2nd or 3rd 4th dependant on which gear you were in when it locked up)
1st time i changed it 2nd time i wd'd it

the selector unbolts from the box with six bolts, try sprying it with loads of wd first before changing it

if its under warrenty they can do it, its in for engine light neways but handy to know cheers

Its the roller pin bearing on the selector on the gearbox.Its rusted up but i think you don't want to get your hands dirty tho

well i may do it, we'll see if its gone tomorrow afternoon, if not ill climb under
we run about 10 trannys and there is constantly 1 in for fixing at any one time, loads of horrible movanos and they never go wrong but are shite and a half to drive
