Is there an easy way to re-tension the roller spring on a double car width gliderol door?

I have so much crap in there that I've never even looked at it, but the damned thing is getting heavy!

can you see the spring or isit inside a barrel.

i only do repairs but if you was to buy one from say m&s shutters telford it would be cheap and easy to fit and i mean easy.

I used to fit electric slatted garage doors all around the country. loved that job

if its getting heavy then it needs tension maybe 3 turns on the spring. on the left hand of the spring there should be some grub screws that hold the tension but also there should be holes were you can put a screw driver type bar inside two holes if you unduo the grub screws with the screw driver in the hole to hold the tension as you undo when you feel the tension trying to undo itsself then its time to turn the spring upwards 3 turns then lock it off by tighting the grub screws job done.

i loved it but working for kone on 24hr callout and getting callouts 1am-2am ect and to to travel to stupid places it fucked me off so went on myself the best thing i ever did .
