i think its happened to everyone who owns a ford!! i was sooo close to selling my car just had enough of it made an advert but never posted it on the net.

its worth it in the end i think thats why everyone looses their patient but in the end its worth it!!

ive just made my car look its absolute best..engine running sweet thers no problems at all with it...but the engine conversion is coming next..going to rebuild it out of the car 1st so its ready to drop straight in that way i dont get sick of my car again!!

You can go out and buy anything fast, skylines evos, all ok reliable motors, but you know what, ask him whats inside that, how long did it take to build it, whats the reply. I just brought it and drove it. < thats not car talk, now is it. thats not being into cars/passion for it, people like us are diffrenet to someone who gets in there car and drives to work.

Yet you pull up and see a cossie, clean as fuck... and ask, whats inside that. and you'll be there, talking about the hole thing, not, i just brought it.

end of the day, cars that brake are cars to keep, its not about money, nor is it about being on the road or off the road, its not just about driving the car, its about understanding your car, whats done, whats not done, where the limits are.

its not about driving the car, its about building the car, anyone whos built one from ground up. Will understand!!!..

I dont care if i spend anuther 60k+, to have that one summers day, that brings a smile on my face, makes everything worth it!! Porkys dont do anything for me,

the drivers are normaly just Pen Pushing, button pressing, Cunts.

My Opinion on what a car is!

 

I've had three cossies since 19 two good one bad. Last one was well over 400 bhp and loved it. Loved the feeling when doing other motors, mainly M3's and some standard jap stuff and the odd super car so to speak. They have all gone now and miss the buzz of look at my shonky cosworth to your new car, but people move on in life and don't get stuck with old stuff and realise there is much better out there less the old buzz from an old ford.

 

Don't get me wrong, I fucking LOVE cossies, but I just don't have the time anymore to work on them.... Don't forget I have had them for the last ten years, and it would break my heart go sell them off and move on, but it just seems to be problem after problem after problem... When do you say enoughs enough and bite the bullet?

I agree that for 5% of the time, there is NOTHING that feels like a 500bhp+ Cossie, but the other 95% of the time, it would be nice to be in somthing that does it all....

Agree with building the cars up and enjoying them etc but spending 60 k plus to me is a no no. Have spent a fair whack on one dodgy one i mentioned above but you only speand 60 k plus if your mad and the car just goes wrong and problem after problem or you go for a mega mega spec one.

As for saying only pen pushers drive porche's etc get a grip and stop imagining one day you could afford something. That's everyones line, only suits can afford something nice. So narrow minded it's untrue. Plenty on here who can afford such luxuries so give it a rest if you cant.

over the past few years i'm of the opinion that i love old fords and cossies but there better for other people to own than myself

 

My points on this was ment for Wil not in general as i still love cossies , but if you price up building and running a sorted spec 500 bhp escos then you are easily into 996 money.
When i did the last changes to mine i tried to spec everything to keep it reliable and it still gave hassles.
I also agree that there will be loads of cosworths on the road quicker than 996's but your talking heavily modded cars against a standard car, do a few mods to the porker then see what happens.
