depends on how long you want the lease for and how much you want to pay and spec and all that other shit and even then you may have to be registered as a business to get the best deals as a lease holder rather than a private punter

probably best to ask someone like chip as he has been known to dabble in this sort of thing, but from what i've heard, the smaller car market is very popular so getting the best deals might not be as easy as you think

from what i can remember, ford wanted around £200 and a bit for a focus and around the £250 for a mondeo as a lease per month, but that was from a few months ago

I'm out of the leasing business now but you have a bunch of things to consider:
Is it for a business?
Is the business VAT registered?
What period and mileage do you want?
Do you have 1, 3, 6 or more rentals to pay as a deposit?
Is maintenance, RAC, etc to be included?
What about charges for excess mileage, refurbishment, tyre damage etc? Apparantly similar contracts have very different levels of comfort and cost!

I can't think of a good reason for anyone who isn't VAT registered to lease because when you add the VAT that you can't recover to the rental, there are cheaper ways to get a car.
Deposit/advance rentals are more important than ever in these credit-crunch times.
