To give my input on noise regs from my experiance at bedford. A T4 equipped Cosworth with a twin box Mongoose in good condition will have no problems. However an old Mongoose may well fail the noise limits. Your exhaust does deteriate over time. I don't think I have heard of a car with a T34 or smaller that also had a 3" twin box system in good condition fail the regs.

Also if you do fail, beware just shoving some big restriction up the tail pipe. I have witnessed turbos go because of the huge amount of extra back presure this causes.

Turning the boost down will help, so if you think you may be borderline, make sure you have some method of easily and quickly reducing your boost level.

And don't be a numpty like Mike and switch your ALS on, as you will fail

You can get your car tested at Bedford prior to the event I think???

Think I'll be taking a drive this weekend then

Unless somebody knows at what distance the noise levels are recorded at? One of our departments at work has a sound level meter that I can use. Just hope I don't upset th peeps in the office by revving the tits out of my car in the car park

If it isn't a problem for you to drive to Bedford then I would do it. Everybodys equipment varies and if you have been given the OK by there equipment then you know you will be safe.

Track = 87 (plus 3 additional driver passes)
Pit / Passenger passes = 60
General entrance / Club stand / Concourse / Traders = 163

The figures look odd, but trust me, they do add up! lol

Total = 250 vehicles on site

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR SUPPORT, CANT WAIT TILL THE DAY NOW!

Cannot have any more vehicles on site, sorry Westy.

You can jump in with someone who already has an entrance pass or track pass, this will get you into the venue.

this is wrong...

I know its my fault, but didnt even know where and when the Beds RSOC was up until a good few weeks back, as I was out of the country for a year.. My mate was gonna have the track pass and we were gonna jump in with him.. Im skint and couldnt afford the fiver Havent been paid for over a year so you can imagine..

Fooooooook, your own local RSOC, and you cant even go

The trouble with having an event at Bedford like this, is that your limiting the number of people that can go.. You can see that its popular as its SOLD OUT!! But Bedford is a wicked venue to have it IMO

Seriously, 1 more ticket, surely this is possible.. if not, can i borrow one, i'll just photocopy it

Im really sorry, but Beds Members who attended the last few months (including the one last week) were given first refusal on all passes.

Considering we were told that holding an event in February was a stupid idea and that we'd end up struggling to sell passes by a number of people, we really didnt see the numbers as a problem. Ok, now we know different but what can we do?

Palmer wont give me any more leeway on the number of vehicles on site, they've already given us more than any other event held there.

If you're desperate to get a track pass speak to Kieron off here as he is considering selling his on.

You know we also send news letter style emails to all Beds Members who have given us a contact email address? If we dont have yours, come along to the next meet and we'll update your records.

We STILL have a few people that have been promising to send chqs but haven't so if chqs aren't with Gemma or Clare by THIS fridays post their passes WILL go back on the market and will be sold to others that are on reserve list........

Once they are sold theres no going back and you will have to go onto reserve list....

Whats the deal on support vehicles guys. Unfortunatly there isn't much room in a Lotus Exige to fit my spare set of wheels with my slicks on, let alone the trolley jack and tools. Can I bring my van?? Mind you then I guess we have the problem of the person driving the van not having a pass? What about if i trailered my car there, will i be able to get my van into the pit lane??

Sorry for all te questions.

vans/trailers etc have to be left in carpark once unloaded (there has been a place set aside for this)

What Steve said! lol

Support vehicles are ok providing they are towing a trailer with a track car on. You cannot drive your track car in and have a seperate vehicle being driven in to support it.

If that makes sense.

Cool. I guess it wouldn't be a problem to pop into the pitlane with the support vehicle in order to drop stuff off and then take it and the trailer to the car park???

nope, no support vehicles will be admited into the pit lane, it would get far too congested. The car park we are using is right next to the pit lane so shouldn't be an issue.
