174bhp now on the throttle bodies we fitted today, but the fuel pump cant cope as we put a pressure gauge on and it was starting to drop off at the top end, so going to need to replace that soon.

Didnt get a graph as we left late and Matt had gone home by then and Russ wasnt sure how to print one out, will fetch one next time I see Matt.

Good results Chip ! That is realistically what a xe puts out on a set of tb's with mbe so can't knock that, should go VERY well.

Whats the price of the ecu ?

To be fair though the software was written by a whole bunch of other people that Mtech seem to give no credit to anymore! I know guys who wrote hole chunks of that software for free.

I don't think the Megasquirt comunity would mind so much if Mtech just acknowledged in their sales pitch that it is mostly a MS ecu rather than claiming it is an all new ecu developed by themselves.

I'm not trying to slate Mtech as it sounds like they have a good setup and Matt seems like a knowledgable chap. I also know they have improved certain areas such as the connectors to make it a more commercial product.

Doug, not really my place to get involved in detailed discussions on who did what, as I dont know all the facts, but yes Mtech basically have "finished" what was very nearly a good product anyway, things like DB37 connectors such as the MS used should never have been anywhere near a car really in the first place, so Matt's hardware is superior, but the software he inherited from the MS project is very good and nicely finished off in the tunerstudio, as like you say it was developed by a lot of people initially.

Wherever it came from originally though, its very good now

i have a v4 in a box in front of me right now

and a set of bike throttle boddies

i have it pluged in to my pc with the sensors wired up to it on my desk to test everything before i install it

i have strange problem tho the fuel map is 16x16 and the ignition is 12x12 ??

if fiting your own count the pins on the ecu and go from there but dont rely on the colours of the cables because the tps and coil wires was mixed up on mine.

nice bit of kit and easy to install! shame there isnt a plug and play adaptor for me focus yet

because both are supposed to be 16x16 as it states on there website

This ECU features 16x16 mapping of fuel and ignition with repsect to throttle posoition or manifold pressure, and houses an in-built map sensor capable of running boosted engines of up to 21psi (1.5Bar). This is upgradable to 4-Bar.

Ah,

aplogies on my behalf, that is a typo!! Ignition is 12x12. That is in my opinion more than enough resolution for mapping however.

I will correct the website immediatly!

Garage19:
I have contacted the guys MANY times offering to help with dyno time, supporting the software etc etc but they simply don't want to know...

Thanks,
Matt
