when you put a cd/dvd into the drive in the front of the computer you normally get a mesage saying "what do you want to do?" and then it gives you a few options to do stuff

this isn't coming up and the dvd is trying to open in media player, which doens't ercognize he format so doesn't play it

how do i get the list of options back up again without it automatically playing in wmp?

if your running windows vista,press start/default programs then set your default programs..ie windows media player 11,check that it has all its defaults.set these then reboot your computer.let me know if this works mate,ive had the same problem with mine..are you wanting it just to autoplay when you insert a disc??

 

i think it's on windows something or other, the one before vista?

and yes, just need to go back to the options of choosing what format or program i wnt to play the disc on

 

thats ok mate,do as above but just change autoplay settings,it should be the same layout..good luck let me know if it works

 

i changed it to itunes
it broke
gave me the other options list again
