Buy something that you can leave totally standard from an engine point of view, but gut it COMPLETELY. I'm thinking about that Honda they did a few years ago where they took a standard Honda Civic (non VTEC I think) and did a 17/18 odd second 1/4 with it, then progressively cut it up and re-ran it, I think it ended up in the 12's without any engine work??!!! I think it ended up being a floorpan/seat and engine.

my mate has a 400 bhp 4x4 cos breaking for spares.
as central day is not far away now,i think it would have to be a quick conversion,so cortina/capri mk 1/2 escort.or a kit car?

How is it that people think converting a KA to cossie will be quicker than getting the Mk3 ready?
Just buy a cheap 2WD Saph, chop everything unnecessary out, weld the diff and stick the Mk3's rear wheels on it, bit of sniff and its happy days!
Bonus points if you can make the downpipe come out the bonnet

Been busy buying a Evo but back on track now, booked a couple of weeks off work to finish it
Only few shitty things left to do now.
My mates Fiesta ST is running now, 220bhp @ 6psi it made. Should be 28ish by Central day and drives lovely on then GT30..
Yours all ready to go?
