Sky?
Any other forum members all of a sudden been told there using up their 2gb allowance on Sky broadband? Been with Sky for 2yrs never once gone over now Im being told that Im constantly over the limit! Now I have been automaticly upgraded to 10gb per month. This month Im now up to 4.75gb,I have 2 lap tops and a Pc mostly used for browsing and occasionaly download songs and upload 2 videos to Youtube once a month but nothing out of the ordinary no differnet to the past couple of years.Have delved into my Router settings and only my computers are able to access the wireless network, constantly changing password and network is Invisable to others so I cant imagine anybody else is able to use it.Is this just a easy way for sky to make money?
yes, exactly the same as you has happened to me over the last few weeks, 2 years with no issues then suddenly Im over the limit and they want more money, they are cashing in on long term customers.
Exactly the same for me too, I was on the 10GB allowance and don't actually download much and it still went over that 2 months running so they have upgraded me to the unlimited package which means I have to pay more each month
Considering what I use the internet for I don't believe I went over that, I think they are just cashing in!
It's because Sky only introduced the monitor in October - November last year! Breach your limit twice in 6 months and you will automatically be upgraded. If you don't like the extra £5 per month and maybe faster speeds, lower your usage and go back onto Base.
