Boardman Comp for me, I got it on C2W scheme so a lot less than retail, altho i'd happily pay full whack ( around £600 ) as its brill for the money
You'll struggle to get a better/lighter spec for the money
Giants are also nice and Specialised at that price

i had one of these before i upgraded to the 928
BIANCHI are quite honestly one of my fave road bikes.
you have to try one.
evans cycles will let you test ride one.
i ride from london to southend regular and it is so easy on the bike.
i absolutely love it. doubt i will buy any other make bike from now on

You get a lot for your cash, proper nice 'named' wheels and finishing kit too and v light for the price. Here's mine yum yum. They handle superbly too, much better than some makes i've ridden.

it is truely awsome, i wasnt ever into spending decent money on bikes until a rode a Bianchi,
they are so responsive. you just feel so in control. long distance is effortless and its a very comfortable cycle.
i had the via nirone 7 early in 2009, i loved it so much that when you put it away you wanted to take it back out.
i did london to southend a few times on it then i got the chance to buy the 928 at a very good price so i sold the via nirone 7.
i honestly wouldnt recommend any other make now.
im not a fan of specialized bikes. no particular reason. i just dont like the way they ride compared to Bianchi bikes
