Default Changing a 4x4 Saff Throttle Cable

Just wondering if it is hard to do and how much it costs?

Mine feels a bit notchy, i tried to lube it but it has gone notchy again

about £14 quid from ford easy to fit TBH if you can fit down by the pedals

Piece of piss mate.As long as you can get the clips from the throttle bracket on plenum to let go. .

Hard way.
Disconnect clip on throttle body in engine bay first.Make sure you be careful as this will spring once you lever it off and fly anywhere
This will then loosen tension on pedal.Then unclip pedal.
Then lever/pull out metal clip holding cable in plenum bracket and try and get the cable out of bracket.
Then refitting is a reversal of removal.

EASY way.

Unclip off throttle bady as above.
Cut cable with wire cutters.
Unclip from pedal.
pull out metal clip as above.
Snap off the 4 plastic clips holding the cable in bracket.
Bin cable.
refit new cable.

If you work for fords mate get 1 of the fitters to do it in exchange for you making a cuppa.By the time you made the cuppa he will have it changed.

Doo did u make a post a while back about changing the throttle cable and the clutch cable and how much of a different car it felt like after?
