Why does it have to be a scam? I bought my car 2yrs ago from a place local to me, East Coast Salvage (or whatever they call themselves now), on A12 at Marks Tey. It was a finance repo, paid lot less than the book price, nothing dodgy about the car, just didnt get much in the way of history with it.
The place was full of cars like it, I remember when they started they sold a lot of cars seized by Customs.

alternatively it could have been a marketing trick, aimed to bring in one way links to a website ina quick way through a viral internet buzz like this thread, and they never had the cars - the cost to list the cars would be miniscule compared to the cost of creating the links this scheme would generate.
but I am just a internet hardened synical SEO

Spa Cars
It is a GENUINE garage and has been for years. Located at Lydiate Ash, Bromsgrove, just off the M42 on the A38 into Bromsgrove. Bought my car and the wife's from there. Why don't you stop being so negative
