if its as good as they say with no dodgy rust on the arches and sills and floor pans etc i'd say play it nice and cool and say theres one with less miles down at so and so's for 2 grand etc etc and say whats the lowest you wil go and then shut the fuck up and put them on the spot lol if they play hard ball back and you like the car then pull 2 and a half g's out and say thats all the cash i have etc etc,sometimes it works mint and you can knock a big chunk off.

its been 7 years since i had my 4x4 rs2000 and i'm sure it had 4x4 badges on as std,just check that j28 is deffo a 4be4 mate.

and yeah 2500 would be a fair old price and if you kept the big miles off it you should see it as a investment.

fitting a bonnet bulge would look out of place on a car of that year,i'am only going to use the car at the weekend so should keep the miles down.Iam working down that way next week so i might call in and have a good look round.

 

you cant fit bulge bonnet to that anyway, its mk6 front, mk5 were the bulge bonnets

 

You would need to change the full front end adn just de-value the car messing with it

 

dunno what the cars like, but i would search the word junkyard on here, comes up in most jct28 posts

Dont expect to go to jct28 and try and barter them down, they will not take a bid on cars, then if you do make a purchase they hit you with a Ł75 'documentation fee' aswell lol

 

i dont think the car is worth Ł2995 and if they will not move on the price ,then charge you Ł75!!!!!!! to buy the car i think i will keep looking.for some reason jct28 seam to have a bad name with over priced cars,or is it just on this forum?

P-plater rs2k4x4 are rather than the provervbial, even though 5000+, not 500 were made for the road.

I love em and had one in white on an N.

Dont beleive the hype, they are crap on fuel, handle brill for the wheelbase and on a 96/96 P are rare.

Interior looks great, check for the options, pass air bag and heated front screen are the best, but can be added if llom will accomidate them.

Only one better age wise iv ever seen was an 97 R that was totalled

J28, good cars, good money for them to be fair, but who wants to spend 3k on ebay??????
