as he said on the prog that ford were NOT having it back until they got him one lol..

and had it on the next week saying someone had scratched it.

I'm more surprised it didnt make it to the Ford Heritage Museum in Dagenham with a FMC plate, they do have a EsCos with FTW at the end

Well i meant press cars and that seeing as most there are either the first or last off the production line, or something special, still a great place just a shame they dont allow test drives lol

the ford press cars were always registered to ford motor company eagle way brentford essex.
i don't think fat afro man would have had his name n the docs unless he brassed ford up for it.
i used to work for a company that bought ford press and management cars, all ending in oo tw ar vw hk,the fmc plates came about after ford chucked a1fmc a2fmc etc on the rally cars. some press cars had fmc plates and one had "car 1" on it.
a neighbour had a k*fmc plate on her ex jackie stewart mondeo.

FAO Lubby !!

There was a dept in ford motor co that dealt with the press stuff and the fella who ran it was pretty helpfull,i contacted them when i had a cozzeh that had a G** BOO plate as i remember seeing some press Cozzeh's with BOO plates.

so i would try that and the 5 nicker dvla enquiry which yealds info like former owners names and addresses via copys of previous logbooks they hold the info on and the supplying Ford Distributer, the total cost, the salesman's name and a few other things that the original registering paperwork held.
all the c plate 3dr's i ever saw were rally cars btw.

cheeRS.

I remember years back it was at a show beside my dads escos, in concourse and the guy was saying hed spent near on £20k just tidying the car up! It was mint of course. He had a pic on the dash of him shaking Clarksons hand as he had bought it. Think his name was John, was quite a big fella.

Did Clarkson only have 1 escos? Cos when growing up and reading a few of his interviews in magazines he mentioned in one that the rear spoiler was nicked off his escos and in another interview he claimed an old biddy had ran into the side of it and smashed it leaving a big repair bill!
