I ve just got the pistons back from having new rings fitted and having them skimmed. but have now forgot which way they go in. each piston has there number stamped on the bottom of the piston so i know which pot they go in, but can someone tell me if the numbers on the big end face the exhaust manifold side or do they face the rear of the engine (inlet manifold side)

Mate big mistake. I rekon they will crack in no time. (if there skimmed zetec)

there safe under exceptable loads, it's when people start upping the boost without thinking of the damage it could do. i know people who have used standard skimmed pistons that run mega power and there fine.
anyway that not the question i asked,
