"Lapping" in new valves?

i got me one of those sticks with suckkers on, some coarse and fine paste, but ive not done it before, and tips on how to do it/how long to do each valve for?

its for the missus clio.

Till you get an even wear bar all the way around the valve should be enough.

you mean same colour all the way round?

The face of the valves will have a bar thats a darker rougher color than the rest of it when your done.
