not got it yet... should be any time soon. JUST missed out on one I fancied on monday.

Will look exactly like any other Red Ferrari F430 spyder. (until I chav it up! )

I want one exactly like this... but with 'Crema' sports seats. Not poooey beige...

http://www.dealer.ferrari.com/graypa...der/+/15826750

The one I missed on Tuesday only had standard seats.... but other than that the same.

I'd like one with ceramic brakes as well, because the calipers look sooo much bigger and better.

Totally off the Gallardo idea. They are far far inferior according to pretty much everyone I have spoken too! including one dealer who had 3 Lambos for sale... and no F430's. So he really wasnt trying to sell me anything!

I went to see this at his place. Was amazing... and right price. BUT even Renton finally admitted its completely impractical for me to own. I am just too clumsy.... and the roof is only good for 70mph apparently!

was amazing thing though!

This is Passionford - therefore none of us own a Ford.

RS-tuner did it last year on his bike, he was one of the quickest bikers I saw there last year... if you're 1/2 decent on the bike I'd say go for it. Van over there, roll the bike out and enjoy! I'd do the same if I was any good on my bike. I'm not, I'd probably crash and burn very early on!

They are quite slow! hope we can keep up!

We will come on same crossing as you...

I've been staying at the Lindner Congress Hotel all last year, its bang on the Ring. I really like it there. Its all very new and nice and you can see people on the GP track. The food is excellent as well. Great breakfast spread!

and it has the worlds worst Casino! with Croupiers reading the rules from a book as they go along

Nice looking hotel, but at E180 per night and upwards, I'll stick to my pokey little chalet style hotel That's E60 per night for a room for two, and quite adequate!

Car however sounds awesome, if a little underpowered - only 490 bhp? You're going to struggle

I'll try and ignore the 196 mph top speed

I'm liking the sound of this trip more and more

Hope you can get there Mike, be good to see you again and see how the Cayman deals with the Ring If not I'll just have to catch up with you on a boat ride round the Med or wherever you're off to!

I am heading over myself with a few friends for my third trip on the 21st and returning on the 25th, it would be brilliant to meet some people from the site and see some of the cars from the site on the track.

If any of you see me there please dont hesitate to have a chat!

Id want to do the whole trip on the bike, see if I could get a couple of the lads to come along for the ride. To be honest Im not that arsed about doing any laps on it either. For my first time over Id be happy coming to see what its all about, the banter, drool over the car park cars and maybe even get a couple of passenger rides. I have been considering taking the M5 over this year but it will need a clutch, MAF's, polybushes and a set of tyres before Id take it and right now I cant afford to do all that on top of the cost of a ring trip

I will get there one day

I would love love love love love to do the trip on a bike! not sure i would brave the ring itself on a bike, but the ride over on its own would be FAB!

Best i start saving for a bike first

Fast they are not! You can have a drive if you like. Properly gutless though.... but its not really what they are all about.

LOVELY to drive!

I'm excited about the drive over with you guys

and you KNOW I normally hate driving over there!

Will deffo look out for you and say hi. Likewise James with you and your crowd, come and say hello and come out for a ride round the "toll road ".

What crossings are you doing? We're going home on the 25th too, 4pm Norfolk Line.

Very kind offer Lee I may accept that, but better still if I may be so bold, take me out for a decent lap round the Ring please, be interested to see you in your element, man and machine!

(plus maybe a little help from the E diff, or Manettino (sp?) thingy on the steering wheel)

I bet it's a great place to be, and I bet it goes ok

No deadline as such, but Ferry prices only go up as you get nearer the date. As Chip says, leave the hotel booking late might limit your choice. Best to book as early as poss.

ST170 will be spot on for the trip, fast, comfy, reliable - all handy at the Ring.

Mike
I remember the pics Mike, will see what we can sort out, top offer . Can you PM a basic itinerary? Roughly where you'll be and roughly when.... I could do with booking a holiday sometime soon

Originally Posted by rst in breaking

As a passenger, 30E per night for the hotel, plus whatever fuel you feel like chipping in for, and anything from Ł10-25 for an ok to decent meal, plus booze. Ł20 would cover 1/2 the ferry costs. Very cheap if you want it to be. Or very expensive - take a look at my Ring report, juicey car, loads of laps, Ł700 odd in total. Some manage to spend a lot less, and have as much or more fun.

Pleasure was all ours Neil, great to watch someone riding properly rather than like I do (as in point and squirt down the straights only!). Myself and Chip were real impressed, and then finding out it was you afterwards was very cool.

You taking the bike again? Or maybe the new track toy Leon? Or the Focus RS? Or maybe the RST if you still have it? You've got a cool fleet to choose from!
