155 in my old saph, alongside neil s off here in his saph, think we would still be in jail now if we were caught!

130 down through compression at the ring (that was scary!)

and an indicated 135 in my 100E on the limiter at 7300 rpm (never again lol)

160 on a regular on my CBR, it used to eat up the speed was so stable and guages never even moved, apart from sticking your head to the tank you'd of never thought you was going that fast.

and hit 130 in my 1.8 mondeo downhill with the wind behind me might of also been 2 up with tools too, felt suprisingly stable just the engine wanted no more and ran out of hill

105 in my focus.
120 in an Evo 6.

Never done big speed before not much interest in it either. Acceleration is where the thrill is at for me.

Loving all the admissions of speeding....... sorry officer! lol

As it happens tho......... 178 (indicated) on my old ZX7R and 140 (indicated) in the XR4x4 going down Marham runway!

I do find it funny that you see all the Gixxer owners saying they've done 186+, i'm assuming they all had other means of showing their speed? Suzuki set their clocks to stop reading at 186, the bike will keep going but the clock stops at 186. The reason? They didn't want to promote the owners trying to break the 200mph barrier!!!

Never knew that thought they were limited to 186 but with a TRE (timing retardant elimenator) sorry about spelling, this was over come also giving you an extra 500 rpm's and the choice of 1,2,3 or 4 gear map! Also read a report of a standard bike with a TRE fitted topping out at 222mph!
If it's softwear based it can be reprogramed!!!

wrong, yes the clock stops at 186mph and yes it will keep reving but suzuki set the rev limiter in 5th and 6th gear lower so that on standard gearing the bike would only do a true 186mph on the rev limiter in 5th and 6th. The reason it hits 186 on the speedo and keeps going is because the clocks are a mil out and the bike isnt realy doing 186

What meanexpress said..........not just in a straight line. Fastest I went on these particular two wheels was 94mph..... A long sweeping bend in a Morris minor van....
Now that makes you concentrate..until the other two drop down again. and otherwise about 160 in an XKR supercharged....

off the clock and on the 7800Rpm limiter in my old saph, on 215/40/17's on standard 2wd gearing, so whatever that works out to? About 170ish I think...

2 wheels, about 145 on the 996 as I couldn't see anything due to having glasses and the lowest screen/bubble to get under in the world ... And it's a LOT more scary doing big numbers on a bike than it is in a car!

175/180 on the back of a '98 Fireblade.

Off the clock in a '99 E55 AMG, it only went upto 160.

Nice bit of motorway that but i end up using the m26 more cos of where i go.

I been 145 indicated in my old neighbors porsche carrera, 4 not driving unfortunately. He was a city IT worker who tore through cars from boredom.

Indicated 120 in my own car but on a 'private test track' with 'safety gear and fire engines.'
