Default how do i stop my interior going mouldy?

as above, any tips on keepin my interior from goin mouldy whilst my car is in storage over winter as the leather on my steering wheel an recaros are startin to get bumfluff an a moist smell, i kno leavin the windows down help mut my garage has half the spider population of essex in it lol an suggestions greatly appreciated

baking tray on back seat with charcoal in it, or you can get those dehumidifying crystals!

Mines covered with a breathable cover and the drivers window open about 2", all seems fine when I've been working on it

Last year it got a bit of mould on the dash, I had the window shut

i was gonna try a bit of net curtain with windows open but bein a cab i cant do it an dont fancy coverin it in gaffer tape, an spiders get round car covers, i used 1 last yr

couple of bowls of salt,mine has got 5 around it,1 in it and 2rechargble dehumdifiers recommended by tabetha off here,they do work,my garage is damp and the car is dry as owt,just need to recharge the dehumidifers which im going to do this week,2 for 30quid,bargain if you ask me.

edit to add,a rs turbo i dumped in there got mouldy,me cossy hasnt got 1 spot nowhere,none on seatbelts,sterring wheel etc..

dehumidifers, 1 in the car one in the garage, and a window slightly open

recharagable ones thats the future deffinatly

i like the sound of the rechargeable de-humidifiers anyone kno where i can get them an unless i can stop the spiders, avin the window open is not really an option. ill get some salt in there 4 now

id say do the window up, my esocrt and fiesta are in same garage, the escort had windows done up and is fine, fez had quarter and boot off and was getting this prob, just gave it a wipe over lol

tray of cat litter on the back seat, acts the same as silica gel, you would be amazed at how much moisture it will absorb.. costs fuck all too

i know dude its nearly summer again

they have a little indicator when there full,it goes pink,you need to recharge them then,im going to do mine in a bit,they've gone pink and quite heavy.

why worry about spiders lol just open the window mine has a breathable cover and drivers window down about 2-3" and the boot popped and never had any mould and there is some monsterous spiders in my garage if i see 1 in the car ill just bitch slap the fucker dead pmsl

charcoal absorbs the moisture and stops it going moldy just change it every couple of months i have done this in my 3 door for the last 10 years that it has sat in the garage
