Its not a case of Right or Wrong imho...You can if you like run the same outta's on the front and rear...I think what your trying to say is that in your opinion a "wider" rear outta fills the arch and gives a better all round stance/appearancewhich is why i went for a wider outta rear also

If your happy pete then goodluck to ya...

looks very nice Pete i bet your well pleased!

btw you can run 9" rears with no mods IF you have the CORRECT off set and CORRECT tyres i know loads of people that say you need to trim the kit blah etc BUT thats what mine were and unless you were a fat bastard or had shite suspension they were fine.

I dont know why but i actually LOVED your car on the standard rims, I think thats because its sooooooooooo clean though.

Pete,

i bet your well pissed off now after all the comments.

its up to you how you want the car to look, is it better to order wheels that are deffo not going to rub or order wider wheels and then they might rub.

i don't think they look too bad, maybe like Lee has said, a bit wider on the back,i could do that with mine too lol.

hope you are still happy mate with them.

They are not right end of story , I had the same delivered to me and when i sent them back they came back with wider rear outer rims and fitted perfect and looked as my black and white car above

Paul,

I spec'd the rear wheels based on criteria that Pete laid down, that being that there is no way the arches can be modded at all. With this in mind I chose the rears to have 1" outers (making them ET36) rather than the better looking 1.5" (ET24).

As Pete had said NO arch mods and given that one day he could have 4 people in the car there was no way that I could risk specifying the wider outers as he could (quite rightly) have rejected them based on his original requirements.

Pete is now happy to trim his arches if needed and I'm going to see about swapping the rims for him. This is not a case of Compomotive giving Pete what they had in stock rather than what he should have had, its a case of me giving Pete what I thought he wanted/needed!

Martin

I understand what your saying , BUT compomotive know ( or should by now ) what will fit and what wont

I have showed 2 cars of mine that have the wider rears with NO arch mods at all

I gave up dealing with compomotive due to the fact every time i ordered a set they were different

I always got what i asked for after sending them back but this is just stupid as they should make them how i asked in the first place

The outer rims are made overseas and not in house and IMHO if customers start to shout because they still havent got there wheels then they make them up with what they have in stock

Not you fault Martin , I have been there and got sick of the hassle with them

Love your car mate looks stunning, even better when spacer's are on.

Due to the fact CXN dont do a very wide dish I opted to go down the route of getting my brother to fit the RC090 splitrims to mine.
Its proving to be very difficult to get them to work with bigger brakes front and rear, and also had general clearance issue's.
Hope to be finished this week.
I love this wheel it looks really wide and stunning imo.

Heres a pic in progress

thanks.

p.s,

i will have to check for sure what widths my wheels are before i order.

We can simply change the order to 1.5" outers on the rear BUT you also said the same as Pete about arch mods!

if for any reason comps dont have any larger outers in stock then this company has a full range of inners and outers and the prices are reasonable
