Bloke at work wants to get a Radar detector and combined Gatso/spec GPS thingy.

I know nothing about them.

I remember the Valentine one was the thing back in the day.

anyone reccomend anything?

 

For the GPS side of things, just download the POI app on your wikid and cool trendy iPhone, it actually works pretty well.

From the point of view of a radar detector, most of the devices these days you would worry about appear to be laser powered increasingly, which makes detection largely pointless as by the time you detect them, you are likely to have been done.

 

Its not for me mate. he does have Iphone though.

"POI-Lite" the one I have got is called.

some of the dashboard apps do it too though.

 

I have a road angel for laser and this covers the van sites and static camers very good but you have to be very fast on the brakes if laser comes up to avoid being done has saved me twice from a ticket also alerts you to where the vans site as they have desinated sites thay have to be in and i just slow down where they are as they are normally sly and hidden around corners or camoflarged laybys behind trees and things. I have thrre cars one in each and can pick them up cheap second hand on egay.

I have a road angel, i had the attacement to pick up the mobile cams too, i ended taking it back off coz all it done was bleep at you when the sun shine on it and not pick up the vans!

I have a tom tom for my GPS!
