Default fuel reg ??????

we are doing some work on the cars at the mo and we have just put a fuel pressure gauge on my mates escort cosworth and one thing we sore was when we start his car up and then turn it of it holds pressure on the gauge for a good time . but when we do this on my car the pressure gose strate away which makes me now think that a lot of my problems could be down to the fuel reg.

WOT DO YOU THINK

Pressure hold is controlled by one way valve in fuel pump.

The one way valve is usually a seperate screw on piece to the pump. So you "shouldn't" need to replace the whole pump, just the valve

you might be right there mate but with the car going to about 360 / 380 bhp it will need a 044 pump at some time so might as well get it now
