Default Aeromotive fuel pumps

Anybody know anything about these pumps?
I am considering buying one for my 3dr,what's the max they r good for power ways?
Will it be a problem if ur tank runs on say a quarter of fuel?
Where can I get one from and any ideas on cost? Are they top quality and are they ok for road cars,I'm looking for around 500bhp in my 3dr cossie.
Alternatively, will an 044 pump and a fuel pump fewire kit do the job for 500bhp?
Will I need to run a swirl pot with either of the above as I don't really want a swirl pot or will the standard tank be able to cope?
I hope u can help me out.
Many thanks.Lee.

The Tsunami is good for 500horse, they won't make any promises past that figure but Specky has run one of the Tigra for a few years and its never let him down - really good solid piece of kit!
Upgrading to A1000 spec this year though which will apparently do 1000horse

A single 044 will do fine.

And a swirl tank will make no difference whatsoever to the power making ability of any fuel system.

The aeromotives look nice, but IMO are far too big and expensive.

It is if you're running a carburettor lol

PS...did you ever get those clutch plates for the OSG ? And what would be involved to upgrade to a triple ?

From what I remember that pump is good for around 650hp on a YB, my car has an Aeromotive pump but rated much higher.

States 'up to' 1000 FI power:

http://aeromotiveinc.com/products-pa...000-fuel-pump/

Having seen the Tigra run the Tsunami up to (and well past) 500 horse (to which it is rated) I don't see the bigger pump being any different! The yank drag racers love 'em anyway, not heard any complaints about the pumps - and they're serviceable iirc...

They must have upgraded the A1000 over the years.

I had one about 7 years ago and it was only rated at around 1000 carb, and 750-800 EFI.

I dumped it in favour of a pair of 044's

Ref A1000 ... Put a turbo into the equation and it all changes!

Martin, going back to my original question at the start of this thread would an new 044 pump and a new pump loom be ok for 500-520bhp?
This is why i am considering an aeromotive pump of some sort.Any advise would be great.
Many thanks.Lee.

What alternative would u suggest please Martin?I dont' want to run 2 standard pumps or two 044's for that matter.I would prefer to stick to one pump if I can.

Mark,I know 2 standard pumps will do the job but I want to run 1 only, this is why I'm thinking of an aeromotive pump, won't it be less hassle to fit it all up than fitting 2 pumps?
I know Dave said he would do it whatever I chose to go for.
