Default do slicks go off?

I have some 17" slicks from when i had my 3dr and wondered if i should just chuck. I have had them a couple of years in the garage and wondered if they can be used again?

lots of rubber left on them but didnt know if there was a shelf life for them?

The thing that kills slicks, on bikes anyway, is the number of heat cycles they've been through. So if they have not been used that much and they've been stored out of the direct sunlight they will probably be OK. Just take a few easy laps so scrub them in again.

Check the sidewalls for any sign of cracking .The rubber does go hard and loses its consistency over time .
Buy new , got loads

sidewalls look fine they have been stored away from sunlight etc, may just get rid if the rubber goes hard then.

they wont fit on the escos as they are 17's and i am running 18's

A quick burnout is sure to sort the rubber surely, make it nice and soft!

As above, but in 2 years out of direct sunlight then the rubber won't have degraded at all. They'll be fine
