i hate all f you young enough to have a mk2 escort or older when you were younger! i'd love one but the price is crazy now! 
first ford i had was J725 JBK - Black MK3 Fiesta XR2i 1.6, loved it and still regret selling it was the best mk3 fiesta ive owned

90 speck xr3i in white with full turbo kit and rims, bonnet, interior, lowered, exhaust, rebuilt the engine with kent cam etc etc, i was 15 my 1st car

Ford Escort MK1 1973 L reg SEJ 5L, Bought it on a Saturday smashed it up on the Sunday Ł800 for 24hrs of driving, this was back in 1980........Happy Days.

8 years ago when I was 17 I had a 1973 Ford Escort Mk1 1300GT (2dr). Loved that car. Bought it for Ł1200 Sold it for Ł2500 a few years later. Probably worth 5-6 now. wish i'd kept hold of it.

My 1st Ford that I owned as when I just turned 18 & was my 1st car back in Jan 2004. It was a 1999 T reg Focus 1.6 Zetec 5dr in Met Aquafrost. Had it for 3 years.

I can beat that two yrs after i bought my MK1 when i was 17 ( 1980 ) i bought a Mexicio AVO ( 1982 ) for Ł900 and sold it two wks later!!!!!!!!!!!! Now whats that worth??

Only today have I bought myself a gorgeous 1977 Ford Fiesta Sport MK1. Only a few rust patches on it.
Kitting it out with some stolen goods (from my dads MKII Escort) it is going to sit proudly on RS 4 Spokes, sport a pair of Cibie Oscars. And then I am putting some wide rally arches on it

1973 mk1 escort 1300gt...bubble arches,cage,twin carbs the lot...the neighbours hated it haha..it was my first car when i was 19 so thats 7 years ago now...REALLY REGRET SELLING IT!

mk4 escort 2door estate at 17 metallic turquoise limo black windows 90 spec recaro's rs turbo kit 17's slammed 60 mm every coil on the rear springs touched each other drove like shit due to suspension and diesel engine but looked the bollox not a spot of rot on it and had never been welded sold it for 600quid and regretted it ever since

it was mint..............like a polo mint, massive holes in it!
still loved it though, with its am/mw/lw radio deck, radiator fan switch and opening quarterlights! even had a fitting factory popout sunroof stowage bag!

The first car I bought when I was 16 was a G reg white Sierra 2.0i Ghia. Bought it from the Ford dealer I worked at as an apprentice with a broken timing chain. Was my first project! Now 27 and I still own it! It's in storage waiting for me to get round to putting it back on the road! It's in better nick than my cossie (mind you, that's not hard)!
The first car I owned that I could legally drive was a 1400 Orion Equipe in Pacifica blue. I loved that car too!

when i was 15 i was working in a scrap yard, had a 1.1 auto xr2 rep that was my first car but nerver actually userd it and it rotted so scrapped.
passed test at 18, had a Ł40 mk5 escort 1.4 put on a 1600 carb with auto choke for a weeny bit of extra grunt

Ford Capri mk2 1.3s!
It was purple and on a Q plate as is was re-registered for returning from Ireland. I was told this but how true it was
I then swapped it for a mk2 Escort 1.3L bright green.
But I am going back to 1988

90 spec s2 rst h163 lwo was my first ford which i had at 18, still got the shell now well whats left of it, tbh some times i wish i never bought it as it got me the bug, 4 rst's later and im still addicted, no helping some of us

First Ford was my 2nd car at 18. CJN a Black S2 RST...
Not the mintest but a nice 165-170hp, I put Koni's/Mongoose/AP Clutch then the Cam went so sold it on and bought another S2 at 19. Second one was 240hp Imperial Blue ZVH. Loved 'em both
