my 1st ford was at the age of 17 and it was a mk1 zephyr 6 paid £20 for it and wish i still had it now bench seat, colomn change, green and cream, straight six, loved that car. oops posted this in sons name lol dont think he wants to be 63 haha sorry mate.

Age 17/18 i had a focus mk1 1.8 zetec (W reg) then to a mk2 2.0 titanium (56 reg) also a sierra sapphire cosworth! Im going up in the world!

Saph cossie rep @ 18. had 2.1 pinto on 45s went like $hit off a shovel but no top end due to 1.6 gearbox. Didnt stop to well either as only 1.6 brakes etc.

saved up and paid £1550 for my black c reg xr2 when i was 17 . I always can recall the drive home like it happened yesterday , my little dream came true and i felt so happy with myself

Had more rust than the titanic but got it looking ok put an xr2 engine in it with twin 40s and a cam sold it to my cousin for him to wrap it up one night.
Oh well. My first car gone but not forgotten!

I had the same model but running a essex v6 lowered and chopped as it used to be in the 80s like everyone did back then,swapped it for a zepher rover v8 at the chelsea cruise back in 87
