Default citroen saxo keypad immobilizer question

bought our lass a r reg 1.1 saxo sx for £60 to learn to drive in,it needed new brake pipes for mot which i've just done.went to start it and forgot the number for the key pad immobilizer.was fannying on for a while trying different numbers until she came with a piece of paper with the number on saying is that it?now cannot get to put the right code in do you have to wait so long before trying again ect or just disconnet the battery and try again?

disconnect the bat for hour, put back on then try it, lemme know how it goes. That worked on a pug

my mate had one years ago and did the same as you he had to wait a few hrs then it resest and he was away

just tried it still nowt,does the battery not have to be on to reset it self?
would it make any difference that its had no battery on for a month?

quicker way is to pop the key pad out and unplug it, resets it staight away

left it with ignition on for 30 mins then tried it worked a treat.

All I did when I got my Saxo a year back was got a screwdriver under the pad, flipped it up and disconnected the wiring - worked a treat! Typical French Poop :P

i'll try that next time certainly quicker than waiting 30 mins.car will do for her to learn to drive in and only cost £60

Was the car I learnt to drive in. "British" Green Saxo 1.1i SX. Was a fantastic little car, nippy, good fuel efficiency and cheap insurance. Didn't matter if it got a few bumps as it cost me £250.

I have just bought (today) a 1977 Ford Fiesta Sport MKI

thats what hers is a 1.1 sx silver though,i'll stick with my focus st and golf thanks.
love the mk1 fiesta's after a decent mk2 to turbo though.

im pretty sure on these once you have entered the code and ign on you can dissconnect a wire from back and you will never need to use the keypad again

look it up on the net its either you enter the pin and press C then disconnect when running or disconnect when car is running it bypasses it.

If your pissed off with the key pad, unplug it when the engine is running and then you will not have to use it again.

yer i done it to my saxo got pissed off with typing in code and after all its a snotter tool box on wheels get to work and back in it
