What happened with my work at the time was I claimed the maximum allowed off the court, something like £80 a day at the time and my work made up the rest.
You are best doing it this way as if your work pays you, you will be taxed on the £80 per day allowance if you claim it from the court direct they send you a cheque for the full amount.
