could anyone please tell me if the n/s rear quarter panel off a 3dr 07 plate focus st is the same as an 08- facelift model?
i have a 07 plate focus st with n/s quarter damage and have been offered a 09 quarter for it.

nope they are different, the facelift has a grove running through the doors and across the quarter then across the tailgate, the pre facelift doesnt have this groove, it otherwise fits but it wont look right at all.

by the looks your st is 3 door, and are probably struggling to find a rear quater for one which i can understand!, there are plenty of 5 dr's about but cant think of any 3 drs ,.

 

fill the groove with weld and give it a light skim with filler

i'd already jumped in and bought it,just got a call from the bodyshop saying the same thing there different.
o well one n/s rear quarter for sale to go with the other bits

 

its a lip then a grove wont work, might as well look for a pre facelift one, let me get a pic

mine is a 3 dr and like rocking horse shite to find a quarter exept ford!

 

i know fella, the 3dr has the same groove, and yep if it was 5dr i could get you one but 3drs are rare,

how bad is the dent?, not sure if there are pattern parts available for them yet, may be worth a try

 

it's quite bad,hard to see on my avatar picture but it got a big chunk out of it as well.might have sorted one in leeds got to ring back sunday but meens getting another van + diesel ect would of been cheaper going to ford.

 

how much from fords out of interest?

 

was about £300 + vat
