Default Oil pressure woes

Got a mate with f2 stock car running a 2ltr pinto but cant keep it running due to losing oil pressure.
the engine was built by a v.well respected engine builder but it only managed three laps.
please does anyone have any ideas or advice.

sounds like oil pump my mate who is on here has just replaced his brand new item with another new one and it now has pressure after trying different things for over a year!!

I presume they've spoken to the v.well respected engine builder who built the engine?? He must have some idea having built the engine surely, was it run in correctly?? Spun a bearing?

forgot to say this is the second engine to let go first lasted a few races second was fitted sat night and raced sunday with no running in.how much running in do they need?
