I watch the programme, its amusing BUT I fear this is going to do more for the bad rep of Cossies than it will do good. I can just imagine the shite thats going to be spurted from Brewers mouth and I know I'll just be sat there shouting at the TV when he gets fuck all right.

I expect the uprated turbo & chip etc will all be fitted and mapped by China too. Probably still on standard injectors.

I'd sooner they did that than break the thing like seems to be the fashion at the minute.

It's nice to see a proper car (and my favourite) getting 5 minutes on TV for a change, better still, seeing one being cleaned up a bit and put back on the road. And even if it were a shed and doesn't finish up any better, I don't see any of you lot making a beeline to put it back on the road! You'd probably sooner break it to make a few magic beans on the "Genuine Cosworth Dash" or "Genuine Cosworth doors". Miserable feckers.

Don't any of you know you can up the power on a Cossie to about 400 BHP by adjusting the gear linkage, this is also a "recognised" cure for a smokey engine.

judging on past experiences with this sort of presenter, he's a bit of a twat and likes to eat pies and get's "amazing" bargains from "the small ads"

seeing that virtually everyones going to know where each particular part of the car came from, who owned it before, how much power it's got and that sort of thing simply by looking at it sort of suggests that he's going to try an blag something and everyone is pre-empting the "what a cunt!!!" when they see the show by saying "what a cunt!!!" as soon as they've found out what he's "bought"

I have to say though, I absolutely love this programme! They show repairs on a level of detail that I've never seen on tele before.

And TBH, I quite like the fact they do things on a budget unlike some yank-crap shows where they just throw thousands at a car and replace everything with new parts.

I couldn't care less if they made any money out of their deal because - being a TV show - that's absolutely not the point. The show was never meant to be a business plan, you'd have to be a retard to think that. I'm sure they just added the "selling on" bit to round the show off... What would you have done instead? I think "putting them in mike brewers personal car collection" wouldn't have been much popular either...

I suppose even though there are a few thousand enthusiasts out there watching that will know that Mike is talking shit, they rely on the couple of million people who haven't got a clue to keep the viewing figures up.

Another thing that gets on my tits is when Ed is trying to get the bodwork presentable and then Mike sits his fat arse on the bonnet or a wing whilst talking to the camera leaving 2 more large cheek shaped dents for Ed to sort out.

This thread is classic, lets face it they aren't churning out show winners.

But, the show is properly entertaining if only for the comedy element, and we all watch the show.

I bet there is not ONE person reading this thread that doesn't want to see this regardless of the end result, so it's a win win for the show.

I can't wait,laugh or cry it will be entertaining, one thing is for sure if it is a bit of a botchy job, I feel sorry for the bloke who buys it and then wonders why everyone is pointing and laughing when he joins his local RS group and shows it off!!
