He said to him he will pay him out of his hoilday time??? And said Friday that he has 3 days hoilday left. Sound like a way to get him to leave without having to pay him redundancie money.

Whenever we're quiet at work i still get paid. Even if theres nothing to do. But i'm not too sure on how it works regarding being sent home.

I'd say leave it to your dad as surely he's a big boy.

Should be on 3 day week poss use holidays for those 3 days or be made redundant. Prob is then need to find new job as won't get old job back. Iam a boss and can see both sides of coin beacause when no work I don't get paid but have to try and find money for 3 lads that work for me. We are sparks and it's tough out there at mo

i am in agreement, i have had to finish 4 lads in the last 4 months , you can only do so much when the work/money stops. Your dad can take a pay cut of be layed off .
Sign of the times , but if his employment is unbroken he will be entitled to redundancy i belive .

It's for your dad and his boss to have a chat see of they can sort something out as he needs ta do something. Fookin government should help out with this as of your dad don't get new job they then pay out bennifit or could help out for few weeks. Trouble is beein a boss yes you make more money or you wouldn't take the shit and all extra hours doin paperwork and shit but after a bad your there ain't much in the pot then means to pay redundacy need to remorgage and then what was all the effort for
