at my local ford dealer our parts man trevor types in part numbers from memory never looks them up and since jamies fiesta rs project he now greets me by name and adds jamie reg etc before I say a word! as well as remebering all those part numbers the man is a legend!!!

I got told off by my manager when a bloke came in with a cosworth once. But only because when he told me I asked to go and have a look at it

Oit, I'm 19 and know full well what one is.
Subarus bore me, so many, annoyed a bloke with one once, came in like hes the only one with one and its the best car ever, telling me all about it. When he asked if I liked them I replied "they're ok, too common though, would prefere a saph cos". He didn't look best pleased.

Your lucky you have a Ford dealer, our one closed few years back. Just when getting to know parts guys it closes. Got another a few miles away, where some old parts guys been taken on, but not the same.

I suppose not everyone can know about cars, but I'm 24 too and know about that era of Cossies.
Plus if you are working on the parts counter at Ford I'd have thought a general interest in cars would be required (and please, how can anyone not know of Cossies? maybe thats just me..)

its only really time to get your headbutt on if the bugger claims to be a car enthusiast, as in my opinion a car enthusiast should at least know what most cars are, certainly all the greats.

Cheltenham Ford oh my god.. I fully understand how shit they are in there fella .. Nightmare getting parts for my rs`s when I had em.. Wait till you go in with a part Number for an Item lol They look at you if you have just shat on there Desk and start asking how you found the number out.

The parts guy in Daganham Motors staines, (tony his name is) is well into his rs's. Correct part every time without fail, normally with good discount

IS your 500 a Reshelled one, as i remember a white one from Cheltenham, was modded. Remember seeing one years ago at a cruise in Chelt where you or someone was giving it bollocks (revving it up) & it cut out & they couldn't get it started again for awhile lol
I took a pic that night of the plate as it had the Build number on the back, got it somewhere....

could be the same one. i bought it off my mate a few months ago. its in a motorsport shell.
