Going up to MSD on Monday wooooop!
Evening all,
Ain't posted on here for a few days as my hard drive and motherboard decided to shit themselves and wipe off all my work at the same time so having a shitter of a time right now sorting it out and facing up to the fact that 4 months of uni work could potentially be down the pan if it cannot be recovered. HD is currently with Ontrack at the moment for recovery, fingers crossed.
Anyways on Monday I've booked in for a custom remap on my focus at MSD. I am in London and was looking around more locally and then I phoned up MSD and the price they quoted for a custom map was brilliant so I thought why not go for the best in the business and give my car the best chance to realise its potential!
I'll be spending the day in Blackpool and possibly the evening depending on how the mapping goes. What can I in Blackpool whilst I am up there? Has the MSD waiting area got a sofa bed ?

-AEM Style Long Arm Induction
-ST170 4-2-1 Manifold
-Power Engineering Decat
-Piper Cat Back
-Ford Motorsport HT Leads
-Stage 2 Comp cams
-Kent Cam Verniers (4deg inlet adv, 2deg exhaust ret)
-CFM UDPs
-Bluefin
Bluefin is the limiting factor of my spec and have been hunting around for a custom map for some time. MSD are the best in my opinion and if people can come from Sweden, Norway, Cornwall, Scotland for a map then why shouldn't I. Might as well give my car the best chance of unleashing full potential. I know it is no fire breathing Cossie but it does me fine for now. This will be the last hurrah anyway before I move onto something turbo'd!

I have a full Piper Cat-Back system mate.
Exhaust system starts with ST170 4-2-1 manifold which then goes into the ST170 flexi pipe and then the decat pipe which connects to the rest of the Piper exhaust system. Can't really do much better than what its got now mate. MSD should be able to hopefully make the most of the decat anyway and sort the fuelling out as it is way too rich!

Have a good day - nothing really to do in Bispham but if you get the 11 bus to blackpool I am sure you can keep yourself occupied.
I wish they could do remaps for my ST - could walk home lol

Well made good progress till I hit the M6 just after I came off the M1 near Manchester. Ran into all the fucking wankers who sit in a queue at 55-60mph in the middle and outside lanes This nation needs to go on a motorway driving course for every 10 people who can use the motorways properly there's about 300 that can't and will sit in the middle lane no matter what as they don't want to be on the inside. Fuck me sometimes the inside lane was the fastest lane!
Anyways got there on time ish traffic in Blackpool was quite bad and faffed around trying to find MSD's unit. James and Kenny did a fantastic job on the car not exactly gained 20 or 30bhp or anything but I felt the difference instantly as I drove off the throttle just felt so much more punchy. No apparent flat spots like before but an RR will soon highlight exactly how much benefit the car has seen. I know some people think its only a 1.8 N/A Zetec but it does go very well for an N/A engine without throttle bodies and the map was well worth it imo with my spec.
Blackpool though... Got bored within like an hour. Spent most of my time playing poker which covered my cab fair and lunch so result!
