Default Evo 5 question...

Just a quick question regarding spec. What is different (if anything) about a GL compared to a GSR? A friend of mine is interested in a GL and just wanted to know what the difference was.

I bet its been a error when registering on import. Probably should be a GR. Seen a few imprezas registered a gl's or sports when they really are wrx's etc etc

That's definitely a GSR I'd say and it's expensive for a 5 The DVLA may have cocked up because quite a few Impreza imports got registered as GL's.

May be expensive but it's yellow, I'm keeping an eye out for her because she wants a 5 or 6 in white yellow or black, yellow being her favourite (which makes it harder because it's only available on 5's). What would you say is a fair price for it considering the mileage and recent service etc.?

I personally wouldn't pay over £6k for a 5 with that mileage etc regardless of the colour. Yellow ones are hard to come by though but I wouldn't pay the extra for the colour because I think it's awful White looks great but it's quite a common colour, does it have to be a 5? you can get 7's for that money.

maybe alot cheaper to insure to if it comes up as a GL!!

A 7 is an option but even at 7.5k there isn't much choice, there are only 3 available on Pistonheads atm, 1 is a GT-A and the other 2 are silver which isn't an option It's difficult because she wants one as standard as possible which is rare!!

yea GL is non evo, RS or GSR, will be cheap to insure but ur fookeed if you smash it and not declared

Id try an steer her away from the yellow ones , It will be harder to sell when the time comes imo..

The 5 is the best model to have and the best shape, sold my standard ish evo 5 GSR in white for £6500 a few months back.
Was a great car and if not for my house needing money i would still have it.
