Default advice please guys on saff

well i thought i was getting away with having a trouble free cos ,but i started it today in the shed and i noticed smoke coming out from around the turbo.now the car started first time no problem but when i gave it a small rev say to 3000 rpm whilst looking under the bonnet i noticed the where the turbo bolts to the exhaust manifold was wet with oil and when revved would weep a bit more oil.the car hasent been on the road in months and i was just checking it.
anyone got any ideas ,has a seal gone in the turbo ? or what do you think
all replies appreciated

cheers james

Does sound like a seal, also check the oil feed and return pipe.

If the turbo has a few miles on it, it will just be accumulation of oil from being sat, that would normally be burnt off each day, it's just more noticeable that's all, cossie paranoia!!
There are no seals in the turbos, so a certain amount will always leak past.

As said no gasket fitted there, but some do leak, in that case if it doesn't seal up with carbon as usual, just take off and rub on some coarse grinding paste, on a sheet of glass.
