Looks pretty serious, Ive never used slide throttles, interesting idea though.

nah, already got 2 of them (saff, 3dr) and didnt fancy anything laggy in a mk1 tbh.

as per used on the tarmac rs2000 (mk5/6 ib4 engine ?) they worked really well, but they changed to conventional throttle body's for gravel,
something to do with different torque and power in the rev range for the different surfaces iirc !

personally i would have started with a different engine already n/a but i'm sure theres advantages to using the cossy lump.
i didnt get how the throttle bodies worked either till i saw the other pics
where can you get them from and what are the advantages/disadvantages as i can see them usefull in fwd applications where the bulkhead gets in the way??????

my slides were Custom Made by Aaron @ HT Racing in Brands Hatch, so not sure if you can get them "of the shelf" so to speak.

dunno, my old mk1 was also orange and ive gone off the colour for some reason. Looking for the "south london" look now to be honest.
