20K+ Super Poster.
the early XR3i is injection... its mechanical injection like the rst (its k-jet)
the 90spec motors have the same engines as the XR2i (ie same engine with EFi, eec4)
cant always go on the reg tho, as it could be an earlier manufactured car that was reistered late

In 1989, the 90 spec came along with revised bumpers/spoiler. 90 spec refers to the 1990 model year, which were built around the summer of 1989.

Late F's had Zolda trim, but still had 'pre-90 spec' bumpers/spoiler.

There would have been a fair few MFi's kicking around that got registered on a G, same as there's the odd 'late' registered J plate Mk4 knocking around.
