they give loans out tp people who cant get finance on cars.
they say that i will geet the full asking price of the car but the catch is that i have to give them £99.50
i dont know if it is a scam or not is seems like it is and it aint peanuts that im giving them
what info should i find out ?
they also said that the people who want to buy it live around 20-30 miles away from my house

It's a scam, I got caught by a company called translink about 10 years ago with exactly the same patter. They told me buyers would be calling me within the hour but I never had one single call Do a search for catadata and you will find the same thing

Have you put a for sale thread up in here? Pistonheads.com? Autotrader.co.uk? Local paper, loot, gumtree.com etc?

https://passionford.com/forum/cars-f...-show-car.html

Just had a look at ya car mate and its only going to appeal to a small market of people Im afraid. I don't actually mind the look of it, but I wouldn't drive it I would be tempted to get it for the Mrs as a daily car (To replace her Pug 106), but not for £3k.

This is why your car isn't selling. Not many people want fake rear disk brake things, neons, 3 tone paint (inc the red stripe), M3 style mirrors, etc...

Try looking on Max Power website or something. Speak to K at Xquisite Automotive as he builds alot of these cars and may know where to sell it - http://www.xquisiteautomotive.co.uk/

its a bumer lol

Smells like a scam. Especially after reading that link that natehall put up. May I ask how you advertised your car? And the 99.50 sounds like such a random number - if I were selling a car for someone else, I would be asking for commission.

As per above, definately a scam, no one will turn up, and you wont get your money back when they dont!

Tell them if they are genuine they can buy the car off you for 2800 and double their profit

As per all of the above, total waste of time, you might as well hand me £100 of your cash for all the good it will do selling your car.

Unless the person on the other end of the phone is going to come to you to look at the car with cash in their pocket, hang up!

Your best bet (seriously) is to chuck your ad here. It's free, and you'll get some interest. (Make sure you add a pic, as they'll not use the ad otherwise)

Looking at it, you've got a car there that has limited appeal and I'm generalising but it's probably going to be a younger person who would be interested in it.

I'm pretty sure most people under the age of 75 now have internet access. What do most people do now when they buy a car or anything in fact? Browse the web.

I can't see how their customers will be any different from the 100's of thousands searching ebay/pistonheads/autotrader/gumtree etc.

IF indeed they have any customers.

I think one or two people above may have pointed out it's a scam

I'd say "thanks very much, great doing business with you" if I had to give £100 to sell a car, however, this isnt doing that, its giving £100 to NOT sell your car!

Avoid anyone asking for cash up front to put you in touch with a willing buyer - they are all - in my own, humble opinion - complete scams.

I suspect that there are two problems stopping this car selling:
A) It will only really appeal to younger drivers who probably can't insure it with the mods.
B) It seems expensive. Back in April I bought a 2 owner, low-mileage 02 Fiesta 1.25 (previous shape, though) with aircon, central locking, alloys, electric windows, etc, new battery, and 6 months tax and got change out of £1500.

Whether I like your car or not, it just sounds like an awful big jump in price.
