Default Plumber Help Required

Were l live in Lincolnshire has very hard water, it is leaving calcium marks on most things, can any of you please suggest an in line water filter/softerner that can help remove this please?

an inline water filter that costs about £30 quid is not going to help and you will need a propper system that costs over £300 + to sort you out and any plumbers merchant will be able to help you as it depends on your type of system and size to which one you need

I thought you Northeners had soft water up there!

As Duncoss said a decent water softener and salts will deal with your hard water probs, but you'll need one tap thats on hard water for drinking purposes, (you cant drink soft water) and a little bit of plumbing is needed to alter the pipes to accomodate the softner.

I wish we did have bloody soft water, it is crazy hard, marks the showers and glass's up straight away,

Are there any brands that you can suggest?

Mike,

Just go to a decent plumbers merchant, (PTS, HPS, Plumb Centre) ask and see if they've got any deals on them ATM.

It doesnt matter on brand, they all do exactly the same thing!

Just ask them in the shop which is a good one.
