Come to think of it, i bet loads of these adverts you see like this are pranks played on mates/enemies etc. Theres always some people that believe it might be a bargain though. Nothing wrong with being optimistic though.

You didnt seem so sure yourself mate going by your replies.

I just love it when people say 'its not quite right', or 'smells dodgy' etc. Of course its 'dodgy' in one way or another. Even if its a 'genuine' advert and a scam, it would clearly be 'dodgy' in some other way.

I especially like the threads where people post up links saying 'look at this xxx for £xxx, is it a bargain or a scam'?

I would imagine most people replying thought it was 99% likely to be a scam or a windup, but such things DO actually happen in real life, I know people who have found similar bargains, so its you that is naive if you believe its impossible just because its not common.

Hey im not saying its impossible to find a bargain at all mate. Although 99% of the time, they are scams/jokes/pranks/misprints etc.

Im very sceptical at the best of times, best way to be in my opinion. I know bargains do come up (maybe not to this extent though), but theres mainly a reason for it, need the money urgently etc, or the seller being unaware of what they have and what its 'really' worth etc. But 99% of the time, these 'bargains' are scams obviously. I personally think its too obviously obvious.

I think you'd be suprised on how many people are genuinely unsure if similar adverts are 'genuine' or not. You only have to look on here how often threads like 'look at this', or 'this seems cheap' come up on here, which is quite worrying to be honest.
