Default Pleeeaaaaaseeee Help IT BOFFS

Right, my old Dell c600 laptop had nearly filled the HD with crap so formatted.

Installed windows 2000 and it now is only displaying about half size of screen and colours are fooked. going into display setting and it is only showing 16 colours.

Hardware manager shows no driver for video controller so tried to download appropriate one, this fails saying try installing standard vga driver, but dont know where to finf said driver and if im even doing what needs to be done....

Please please help as i need this laptop working by monday....

go and find the drivers for the laptop, there will be an all in one pack of drivers some where.

Try here http://support.dell.com/support/down...s=WNT5&osl=EN#

I aint no IT boff but have you checked to make sure the old copy of windows isnt still on there too, thus taking up a lot of your hard drive space?
