Seen it mate as been about for while now,both cars i wanted when growing up,ive now got 1 of them,maybe GTE16v one day.

Yep great vid,IIRC the turbo was not standard and on good tyres,But GTE was on standard ditch finders,Was nice to see rs win but the vaux would have won if rs was standard

Just by looking at the vid has a full S/S exhaust and as said decent rubber and IIRC from previous posts suspension upgrades as well.

I had a gte16v for my 3rd car at 18, is one of my favourite cars I have owned, made 172bhp on the rollers with chip, exhaust and filter, used to kill most Rs turbos I came across... Totally reliable for a year and a half of constant abuse, part chopped it for my first cossie at 19!.... Good times!

Wasn't/Isn't the RS Turbo high mileage as well which would even things up a bit as the cam is probably non existent now!

the gte is Vauxhall Heritage Centre own one

it has done 29k miles and is on the ORIGNINAL suspension and tyres that it came out the factory with.

the rst was on new tyres and suspension and as mentioned in the 100's of threads before they were very cunning not to show the boost gauge lol

kool video but in no way a fair fight
