for me it would be the b696 i think, between colsterworth and melton mobray.. so many nice bends and ya can get a right bat on through most.. but then i know it very well now. however its not a long road but fun, probably 10 or 12 mile..

Have a look here mate www.drivingroads.co.uk

My favourites are the A4069 accross the black mountains in south wales, and all the roads around snowdonia. Also the A369 from Tiverton to Minehead and all the B roads around Exmoor.

Loads round me, Long hill B5004 (i think, from memory, probably wrong!) has to be a night blast though as it can be v busy in daytime, Roads round Wildboarclough, goyt valley area, Cat and Fiddle, but personally i find that over-rated and swarmed by police helicopter gunships usually

You could also add the Snake pass, if you are lucky enough not to get caught behind all the tourists and knob heads that have to drive every where 10 mph under the speed limit. Once again the cops are all over it

The A5012 from Matlock to Newhaven is mint. Done it loads of times and it still manages to catch you out

Seriously though some of the roads i drove around the Brecon Beacons when i went to the rally a few years ago were cracking, shame i was in a Rover 620 though

I love a small stretch of the A66 IIRC(Penrith to Carlisle?), long sweeping bends and usually quiet when i've been on it so can keep up a good pace.
Not massively challenging just you can lash along nicely and can keep the speed through the corners and can use all the road as it was empty when i used it

Driven some great roads around Argyll and Bute too. Had the family with me so couldn't really have a lot of fun.

What about that Buttertubs Pass clarkson took that Escos to? Anybody driven it and vouch for it?

Buttertubs is ok but rather short, plenty of good roads in that part of North Yorkshire

More fun with traffic, when you know it like the back of your hand always watching ahead you can scare others with overtaking round corners knowing there is naffall coming but they dont notice anything further than there bonnet

add to that axe edge, High Edge (both near cat & fiddle). A6 between matlock & buxton (although heavily patrolled by police) A5012 (although short) then A515.

it does all depend on the type of roads you want to drive though. fast sweeping bends? or tight & twisty? derbyshire is good for both, but you do have to find the tight & twisty roads, and will probably need a nav. any help through here though mate, feel free to PM me as i know a good few.

roads round knockhill are quite interesting, from crook of devon to tillicoutry thats quite good too! nearly binned the fiesta there a couple times very twisty but forgiving road if you get it wrong slightly, any more than slightly and goodbye car into the nearest ditch or tree!
